Augusta County Fire & Rescue is seeking highly motivated professional individuals to establish an eligibility list to fill future openings for the position of EMS-Firefighter/EMT-B. The positions will require a degree of individual flexibility as assignments may be given on a county wide basis. Positions will perform emergency medical advance life support services and firefighter duties as required. Applicants must possess a valid Va. Drivers license, high school diploma or equivalent, a good driving record, must be computer literate and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public. Minimum Qualifications: CPR & EMT-B, Firefighter I, EVOC, and Hazardous Materials Operations. Preference given to candidates that possess Advanced Life Support Certifications. Candidates selected for the positions will be required to obtain ALS certification within a given time period. All candidates must submit an original certificate issued from the Regional Firefighter Testing Certification Program that is still valid or currently be employed in a similar position with another jurisdiction within the State.
