Animal Control

The Augusta County Animal Control Department is responsible for enforcing State Code and County Ordinances for domestic animals.

County Ordinances may be found in the County Code.

Hours:              Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

After 7:00 PM, by phone only

Only emergencies will be handled between 7:00 PM and 8:00 AM.  Each emergency will be handled on a case by case basis.  Dogs running at large are NOT considered an emergency.
