The Augusta County Library is seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented professional with experience working with children to serve as the Library Assistant II at the Churchville Branch. Duties include assisting patrons with their circulation and reference needs; preparing and presenting a variety of programs; instructing patrons on the use of computers, the Internet, and various technology needs; and promoting good customer relations. In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Library Assistant II will be responsible for all branch functions. This position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in communications, English, education or library science preferred. Library experience is desired. This position is a full time, salaried position with County benefits and does require two evenings and every other Saturday hours. Starting salary is $25,845.
