The Government Center, Shenandoah Valley Social Services, and the Augusta County Libraries will close in observance of the Columbus Day and Yorktown Victory Day holidays.
The landfill and convenience sites will remain open.
This holiday, typically observed annually on the second Monday in October, recognizes Christopher Columbus (1451-1506), a discoverer of the Americas, and the final victory at Yorktown on October 19, 1781, when Gen. George Washington defeated England's General Cornwallis in a decisive battle of the Revolutionary War.
