The County of Augusta, Virginia is accepting applications for Pool Attendants for summer 2026 at Stuarts Draft Park. These are seasonal, hourly wage, part-time, unbenefited positions.
Augusta County’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking energetic, mature and responsible individuals to fill seasonal positions at Stuarts Draft Park. Working at the pool during the summer is a great opportunity for the right person. While the job is rewarding and fun, it comes with responsibility. Pool Attendants greet guests at the pool house, provide information about the pool, collaborate with lifeguards on facility operation, conduct light cleaning duties, collect fees and run daily reports. Pool Attendants typically work 14-25 hours per week during the summer.

• Ability to provide light housekeeping services
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in efficient and timely manner
• Familiarity with computers and ability to operate basic office equipment
• Ability to tactfully enforce rules/regulations
Authority:
Position reports to the Parks Services Manager.
Duties:
1) Greet pool visitors and take payments for pool attendance.
2) Complete daily reports, deposits and the like to comply with Parks & Recreation Department procedures.
3) Maintain the Stuarts Draft pool house in a clean, orderly, and inviting environment inside and out.
4) Provide positive image of park to visitors, diplomatically resolve conflicts or complaints, and be available to visitors during operating hours of pool house.
5) Perform other duties as assigned.
