The County of Augusta has an opening for a Site Supervisor in its Parks and Recreation Department.

This position will primarily work out of the Government Center in Verona but at times work may be performed at other facilities within the County. This position will perform a variety of tasks while supervising the use of facilities for programs, activities or events, ensuring the safety of instructors and participants and providing security measures of the facilities. The work is not under immediate supervision and requires attention to detail.

Applicants must be able to provide superior customer service by meeting and greeting program participants and instructors, providing information, following written and verbal instructions, reporting back to staff through proper communication channels and maintaining established building security measures. Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Greeting program participants, confirming participant enrollment and directing participants to the correct program location
• Must remain on-site during scheduled facility use
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to tactfully enforce rules and regulations
• Effectively communicate concerns that arise during evening or weekend facility use
• Ability to follow established safety protocols for locking and securing the facility
• Accurately complete reports
• Assist with room transition between different program uses and/or light cleaning as necessary
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
Qualified applicant must be able to establish effective working relationships with the general public, instructors and other staff. Applicant must be able to follow directions and have the ability to manage risk while being customer service orientated and providing great hospitality. Seeking applicants who are friendly, courteous and outgoing.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, high school graduate or G.E.D. preferred and possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in Virginia.

Wage/Salary:
This is a part-time position, on an as-needed basis, with work hours scheduled on weeknights and weekends. A work schedule is provided in advanced with flexibility to accommodate other personal and/or work commitments. The pay is $13.50 per hour with no County benefits.
