The County of Augusta is accepting applications for a 911 Public Safety Dispatcher. This position encompasses performing responsible technical work on an assigned rotating shift dispatching public safety equipment and personnel in response to emergency calls for service. Competitive applicants shall have equivalent of a high school education, including computer skills and basic typing, must be able to obtain Virginia EMT Certification within six to twelve months of employment. Virginia EMT Certificate and experience in emergency services a plus. Augusta County offers a fringe benefit package including VRS retirement and life insurance, health insurance, PTO leave programs.
