The County of Augusta is accepting applications for a Planner position in the Department of Community Development. A partial listing of the duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows: Assisting with the preparation of small area and topic area plans; collecting and analyzing statistical and map data; review and analysis of rezoning proposals; conducting research for the creation or revision of ordinances; and responding to inquires from the Board of Supervisors, County staff, and the public. This position requires a Bachelor Degree in Planning or related field, familiarity with personal computers, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively deal with the public.
