Post Date:10/11/2024 12:00 PM

In the heart of the Augusta County Government Center, one dedicated professional is making waves in the county’s world of technology and data communications. Meet Quade Curry, the Information Technology department’s newest analyst and Augusta County’s Employee of the Month. Quade’s exceptional contributions to the recent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system’s implementation will not only transform how we work but also redefine the way we are able to serve the community. With a passion for problem-solving and a talent for collaboration, Quade has been a driving force behind the successful launch of the new ERP system, helping both the county’s and school system’s finance departments go live with this vital initiative.

Quade’s technical understanding of the ERP requirements and his proactive approach to troubleshooting issues has made a positive impact on resolving the considerable challenges faced by moving to a new system. In a nomination letter for Employee of the Month, IT Director, Jackie Zetwick highlighted, “His positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge have accelerated the project's success and inspired his colleagues to strive for excellence….Quade’s contributions have profoundly impacted our organization, setting a standard of excellence that embodies our core values.”

The implementation of the ERP system is not only a significant upgrade from our outdated legacy system, which was over 30 years old, but it also represents a crucial step toward enhancing public services. By connecting finance, human resources, and key departments, the ERP system will streamline operations and improve efficiency. The next phase focuses on the HR module for both the county and schools with a target completion date of April. Additionally, community development is preparing to move data and will begin its implementation process in October. The ultimate goal is to have the entire ERP system fully operational by 2026.

Quade, a Staunton native and graduate of James Madison University with a degree in computer science, has a strong background in programming and organizational data. Quade loves to fix all manner of things - computers, electronics, cars, plumbing, appliances. He says, “If I haven’t tried to fix it, it hasn’t broken yet.” Quade also pursues a variety of interests that range from 3D printing and learning CAD software to studying Japanese and playing piano.

Please join us in congratulating Quade for his well-deserved recognition and for all he does to enhance Augusta County operations.
