Augusta County has published the recommended budget for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), outlining key priorities and financial plans for the upcoming year. Residents are encouraged to review the budget documents on the FY26 Budget engagement page.
The FY26 Recommended Budget and the Five-Year Plan are available for review and will serve as the foundation for discussions during the Board of Supervisors' budget work session, scheduled for Monday, March 31, at 8:30 am. Community members can observe the session by accessing a video meeting link available on the agenda for the meeting on the county's meetings and agenda page.
Following the work session, any amendments to the recommended budget will be incorporated into an advertised budget. This revised budget will be published for public review ahead of the Budget and Tax Rate Public Hearings, set for Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 7 pm, during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors. Details on how to participate in the public hearing or submit comments online will be announced soon.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and engaged throughout the budget approval process to ensure their voices are heard in shaping the county's financial priorities.
