Following a closed session during the regular meeting held on April 9, 2025, the Augusta County Board of Supervisors announced the acceptance of the resignation of former County Attorney Jim Benkahla. The Board expresses its appreciation for Mr. Benkahla’s service to the County during his tenure.

In the same meeting, the Board appointed Nicole Price to serve as Interim County Attorney. Ms. Price has served as Assistant County Attorney since April 2024, and brings valuable experience and dedication to this interim role.

The Board looks forward to working with Ms. Price as she steps into this position and continues to support the legal needs of Augusta County.
