The Augusta County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Public Hearing during the regular meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 7 p.m., in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia, to consider an ordinance that would increase the excise tax on the sale of cigarettes equivalent from $.30 to $0.40 on each package containing twenty-five (25) or fewer cigarettes to be effective July 1, 2025.
