The Augusta County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Public Hearing during the regular meeting on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 7 p.m., in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia, to consider the following:

1. VDOT Six-Year Plan - The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Board of Supervisors of Augusta County, in accordance with Section 33.2-331 of the Code of Virginia, will conduct a joint public hearing. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary Six-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2026 through 2031 in Augusta County and on the Secondary System Construction Budget for Fiscal Year 2026.  Copies of the proposed Plan and Budget may be reviewed at the Residency Office in Harrisonburg of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 3536 N. Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA, or at the Augusta County offices located at 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Va.

   All projects in the Secondary Six-Year Plan that are eligible for federal funds will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.  

2. Ordinance – An ordinance to amend Chapter 9. Environment. Amendment brings Chapter 9 of the Augusta County Code into compliance with recent Code of Virginia changes, including combining Erosion and Sediment Control (VESCP) and Stormwater Management (VSMP) regulations per the Virginia Erosion and Stormwater Management Act (VESMA).
   
   
3. Rezoning – A request to rezone from Single Family Residential-10 to General Agriculture with proffers approximately 4.03 acres (TMP 036 87) owned by Luke Hart located off Bald Rock Road in Verona in the North River Magisterial District. The property is located in an Urban Service Area of the Comprehensive Plan and is planned for Medium Density Residential. The applicant intends to store equipment and has provided proffers to limit certain agricultural uses usually allowed in General Agriculture zoned districts.
