Dick Huff Lane in Verona Closed April 10 – 13 for Rail Crossing Work

Dick Huff Lane, the main entry way into the Government Center, will be closed April 10-13. Please use the suggested detours.

Staunton, VA – The main access road to the Augusta County Government Center in Verona – Dick Huff Lane (Route 940) – is scheduled to be closed from 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, through no later than 8 a.m. Monday, April 13. This planned closure is for railroad crossing maintenance.

The public can reach the government center using the southern entrance off Route 11 (Lee Highway) next to the Augusta County Sheriff’s office, about 0.2-mile south of Dick Huff Lane. Government center employees can use this entrance or the rear access off Technology Drive.

Detour Note: The Government Center asks visitors and employees to follow the suggested detour:

Traffic to /from the north should use Greer Road between the Fashion Gallery and Sheriff’s office.

Traffic to/from the south should use Technology Drive and the rear entrance just south of the Juvenile Detention Center. 

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
