The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Augusta County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Joint Public Hearing during the Board's regular meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia.
In accordance with Section 33.2-331 of the Code of Virginia, the purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary Six-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2027 through 2032 in Augusta County and on the Secondary System Construction Budget for Fiscal Year 2027. Copies of the proposed Plan and Budget may be reviewed at the Residency Office in Harrisonburg of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 3536 N. Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA, or at the Augusta County offices located at 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia.
All projects in the Secondary Six-Year Plan that are eligible for federal funds will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.
