The Augusta County Planning Commission will convene for a staff briefing at 4:30 pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the Board Conference Room.
The Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing during their regular meeting at 7 pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia, to consider the following:
- A request to rezone from General Agriculture to General Business approximately 0.441 acres [TMP 075B (1) 64], owned by BoroFutures Group LLC, and located between Stuarts Draft Highway (Rte. 340) and Ebco Circle (Rte. 1584) in Stuarts Draft in the South River Magisterial District. The property included in the request is
located within an Urban Service Area of the Comprehensive Plan, and is planned for Business. Access to the property will be off of Ebco Circle. The purpose of the rezoning is to allow for the construction of a day care center.
- A request to rezone from Single Family Residential-10 to General Agriculture with proffers approximately 1.459 acres [TMP 036 85R], owned by Layne Investment Inc., and located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Bald Rock Road (Rte. 781) and Lee Highway (Rte. 11) in Verona in the North River Magisterial
District. The property is located within an Urban Service Area of the Comprehensive Plan, and is planned for Medium Density Residential.
- A request to rezone from Limited Business with proffers to General Business with proffers approximately 2.157 acres [TMP 067C2 (8) 3], owned by Gums LLC, and located south of Jefferson Highway (Rte. 250) approximately 500 feet west of the City of Waynesboro in Fishersville in the Wayne Magisterial
District. The property is located in an Urban Service Area of the Comprehensive Plan, and is planned for Business.
