The Augusta County Board of Supervisors will conduct Public Hearings during the regular meeting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia, to consider the following:

1. REZ-26-0010 – A request to rezone from Single Family Residential-10 to General Agriculture with proffers approximately 1.459 acres [TMP 036 85R], owned by Layne Investment LLC, and located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Bald Rock Road (Rte. 781) and Lee Highway (Rte. 11) in Verona in the North River Magisterial District. The property is located within an Urban Service Area of the Comprehensive Plan, and is planned for Medium Density Residential.
2. REZ-26-0012 – A request to rezone from Single Family Residential-15 to Rural Residential approximately 6.928 acres [TMP 076 54B], owned by Curcio, Milio W., III & Curcio, Ann M., and located at 38 Lyndale Lane in Lyndhurst in the South River Magisterial District. The property included in the request is located in a Community Development Area of the Comprehensive Plan, and is planned for Low Density Residential.
3. ORD-26-0005 – An ordinance to amend Chapter 25. Zoning. Division A. In General. Article I. General Provisions. Section 25-4. Definitions. Livestock markets. Amendment adds the definition of “livestock market” as a place where a person assembles livestock for public sale if a license or permit from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is required to operate such market. This definition is identical to the definition for livestock market in the Code of Virginia (§ 3.2-6100. Definitions.). 
4. ORD-26-0007 – An ordinance to amend Chapter 25. Zoning. Division F. Industrial Districts. Article XXXVIII. General Industrial (GI) Districts. Section 25-384. Uses permitted by Special Use Permit. Livestock markets. Amendment adds “livestock markets” to Item F as a use permitted by Special Use Permit in General Industrial districts.
