Executive Director

Valley Alcohol Safety Action Program, located in Staunton, Virginia, is seeking an Executive Director for the local Alcohol Safety Action Program. This position will perform under the general direction of the ASAP Policy Board. This position will be responsible for the administration of the program including: case management; education and treatment; public information; program evaluation; judicial system liaison; public training; budget preparation and fiscal operation of the program.

Qualifications include: Knowledge of court operations; intake procedures related to criminal justice offenders; ability to prepare and present educational and informational programs, and administrative and managerial skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with County and State officials, associates, and clients.

Applicants must have experience in supervision, program management and budget preparation. Knowledge of the substance abuse field and considerable experience with VASAP and/or criminal justice system. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred. Must have (5) years experience in human service programs.

Salary Range $40,306 – $56,952. This position will have County benefits – VRS retirement and group life insurance, health insurance, vacation and sick leave program.
