Richmond Road Multimodal Corridor Study Public Meeting

January 21, 2009, 7:00 PM

Post Date:01/15/2009 12:00 PM
The Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission (PDC) is working with the VA Department of Transportation (VDOT), the City of Staunton and Augusta County on a long-term plan for a 3.6 mile stretch of Route 250 from Greenville Avenue to Desper Hollow Road, east of I-81. The study will identify a host of transportation improvements -- from sidewalks and bike routes to intersection improvements and transit services -- that would support future development.

To make this project a success, your input is needed! All members of the public are invited to attend the first public workshop at the Frontier Culture Museum Octagonal Barn on January 21 at 7:00PM. After a short presentation, workshop participants will be engaged in open discussion and a hands-on exercise to identify the challenges and opportunities facing the corridor.

The workshop is open to everyone; please call 540-885-5174 if you have questions or visit the PDC website, www.cspdc.org, for more information about the project.
