The Augusta County Board of Supervisors has heard from many concerned citizens about considering a response from Augusta County to the recent gun control legislation being proposed in the State legislature and its impact on 2nd Amendment rights of citizens. Due to the interest in this topic, a special meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at 6 pm at Stuarts Draft High School auditorium to hear comments from the public concerning this issue. The location has been changed to accommodate increased attendance.
Citizens who wish to speak are asked to sign-up using the online form below. If you are unable to attend, you may also use the form to submit any comments you would like the Board to consider.
Important information for Dec. 4:
- Speakers may also sign-up at the high school on December 4. Staff will be on-hand to help with sign-up.
- Doors to the auditorium will open at 5:30 pm.
- Speakers will be limited to three (3) minutes in order to hear from more citizens. Please be prepared with your comments and be as concise as possible. Groups are encouraged to assign one speaker to voice a unified message.
