The Augusta County Planning Office is responsible for short-term and long-term planning for the County. The office reviews and prepares staff reports on potential rezonings, rezoning applications, and comprehensive plan amendments. It is also responsible for coordinating the review and update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan, drafting Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance amendments as needed, and writing and administering grants. Planning Office staff also serves as staff to the Planning Commission.
