Public Hearings | June 9 and June 24 

The Augusta County Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 9, 2020, and the Augusta County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Public Hearing at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 24, 2020, in the Board Meeting Room, Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, Virginia to consider the following:

A request to rezone from Single Family Residential 10 with proffers to General Agriculture approximately 9.85 acres (TMP 91A (2) 3) owned by Trustee of Phyllis H. Kiser located at 405 Lake Road in Stuarts Draft in the South River District. The proposed general use of the property is agriculture. The general use of the property stated in the Comprehensive Plan is Medium Density Residential, which may include detached residential units at a density of 3-4 dwelling units per acre.

Planning Commission Responsibilities

The County Planning Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Planning Commission is responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on requests for rezoning, Comprehensive Plan amendments, and Planned Unit Developments. They meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. In addition, the Planning Commission holds worksessions throughout the year on an as-needed basis.
