This ADA Grievance Process is established to address the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, or programs by Augusta County.
While we hope to first resolve accessibility requests and complaints through the accommodations request or complaint process, a grievance can be submitted with the County Attorney at any time.
An individual who believes Augusta County has violated the ADA / Section 504 / Section 508 may submit a grievance with the County Attorney at any time.
The complaint should be submitted by the complainant or their designee as soon as possible but no later than 60 calendar days after the alleged violation or after the Coordination Team’s resolution of the issue has been offered.
Alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or a tape recording of the complaint, will be made available for persons with disabilities upon request.
