Augusta County Parks are open from dawn to dusk all year. Please help keep the parks clean by throwing trash in the trash cans. No one should damage, destroy, remove or misuse any part of the park, including buildings, equipment or the natural environment. Anyone who breaks park rules may be fined or asked to leave. 

You may not wash, repair or service vehicles in the parks, except for changing a flat tire. Leaving or abandoning a vehicle is not allowed. If your vehicle breaks down and you must leave it, please contact the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department. 

Vehicles may only be driven or parked in designated areas. Do not park in a way that blocks traffic.

No one may operate an unlicensed motorized vehicle, such as golf carts, e-bikes, UTV's, scooters, etc. in the parks unless the area is marked for that use. 

Playgrounds are made for children under 12 years old. Please see posted signs at each playground for more information. Parents or guardians must watch their children at all times to make sure they are using the equipment safely. Never leave children alone. Please report any accidents, injuries or unsafe situations to the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department. 

Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than eight feet and under control at all times. Pets are not allowed on or within 50 feet of athletic fields or playgrounds. Owners must clean up after their pet.

Hunting is not allowed in any Augusta County Park. Fishing is allowed where signs say it is permitted and you must have a valid Virginia fishing license. 

Do not feed or bother wildlife. 

Under Virginia state law, no one may drink, carry open alcohol, use illegal drugs or be under the influence of these substances while in a park. Smoking is not allowed inside any building, structure or fenced swimming area.

Smoking is allowed outdoors, but please be thoughtful and avoid smoking near entrances or exits. Always throw away cigarette butts properly. 

People who are not authorized may not carry concealed or dangerous weapons in the parks.

Fires may only be made in grills, fireplaces or other approved areas. All fires must be watched at all times and fully put out before you leave the area. 

Metal detectors of any kind are not allowed to be used in parks.

Anyone who wants to fly a drone in a park must get advanced permission from the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department. 

You may not post or hand out signs, flyers, advertisements or any printed materials in the parks without advanced permission from the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department.

You cannot sell or rent goods, food, drinks or offer classes or services in any park without advanced permission.
