Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?

Important Dates
Registration
Register to Vote/Update Registration deadline for the Special Election: April 14, 2026
- Voter registration office at the Government Center - 5 p.m. Check additional state agencies for voter registration or DMV for their operating hours.
- By mail - postmarked by April 14, 2026
- Online portal on the Virginia Department of Elections website - 11:59 p.m.
Paper applications that are mailed must be postmarked by April 14, 2026.
Paper applications submitted in person at the Voter Registration office must be received by 5 p.m., April 14, 2026.
Early Voting
Early Voting location: Voter Registration Office in the Government Center (18 Government Center Lane, Verona)
Early Voting starts: March 6, 2026
Early Voting continues: March 6 through April 18, 2026, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm (closed from 1 pm to 2 pm)
Last Day for Early Voting: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Absentee Ballots
Last day to request a ballot by mail: April 10, 2026, 5 p.m.
Last day for mailed ballots to be received by mail: April 24, 2026
Ways to Vote: In person, Early Voting, and Drop Boxes
Voters do not need a reason to vote absentee (by mail or in person).
Access online voter registration or absentee ballot application on the Virginia Department of Elections website.
Drop Boxes
You can also drop an absentee ballot sent to you by mail at one of our drop boxes at the Government Center. There are three (3) drop boxes at the Government Center:

In the voter registration office from 8am - 1pm, 2pm - 5pm, Monday thru Friday.

At the drive-through window 24/7.

In the south board room where early voting is located from 8am - 1pm, 2pm - 5pm. Monday thru Friday.
Each precinct will have a drop box available from 6am - 7pm on Election Day.
