Are the Park's facilities available to rent?
Natural Chimneys Park has four picnic shelters available to rent for company picnics, reunions, birthday parties, and other gatherings. They hold between 100 and 200 people, have water and permanent grills available, and rentals cover an entire day's use (from dawn until dusk). The Park's performance stage and Chimneys Lawn may occasionally be rented; please contact our office for further details. Check out the facilities you can rent on our Facilities for Use page!

Can I hold my wedding ceremony and/or reception at Natural Chimneys Park?The Park is not zoned for weddings, so we are unable to accommodate wedding requests of any kind. There are many wedding locations throughout the County. Check them out on the Augusta County Tourism website!
Is fishing available in the park?The section of the North River that runs along the Park's boundary is seasonal, and usually retreats underground from mid-July through October. The river is part of the DGIF's Designated Stocked Trout Waters, and is stocked five times between October 1 and May 15. Please see the DGIF website for license requirements and stocking dates.
What does it cost to visit the park?Nothing! Day use at the park is completely free for the majority of the year. Occasionally we have special events where we do charge an admission fee or the park is only open to ticket-holders. Please see our Programs and Special Events page for those dates.
When is Natural Chimneys Park open?Natural Chimneys Park is open for day use (picnicking, sightseeing, hiking, fishing, etc.) from dawn until dusk, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The Park's campground is open seasonally, from May 1st until October 31st each year. Our Visitor Center is open during the camping season on weekends only, Fridays-Sundays.
