Valley Program for Aging Services (VPAS) is the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the Central Shenandoah Valley, including the cities of Staunton and Waynesboro, and the County of Augusta. The VPAS mission is to assist individuals 60 years and older to maintain their independence in their home and community. VPAS activities include: information, referral and assistance, case management services, Medicare insurance counseling; in-home personal care services and meals on wheels for home-bound persons; socialization and recreation, health promotion and disease prevention education, physical activity, congregate meals, and transportation services through the Staunton and Waynesboro Senior Centers and Transportation for the Elderly and Disabled (TED) services.

Within the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County region there are two senior centers. Anyone from the region is welcome to use the services of any of the centers. More information about the senior centers and the Valley Program for Aging Services can be found on their respective websites.
