The Warrant Service Unit was established in 2014, in part, to alleviate some of the workload from the patrol division. The unit's primary function is to serve criminal warrants and civil protective orders, though they do assist other divisions when called upon. The unit also conducts criminal and civil transports throughout the Commonwealth and, at times, to/from other states.
The full-time unit is made up of four members; a sergeant and three deputies.
