AUGUSTA COUNTY SPRING CLEAN-UP
Sat. April 18 – Sat. April 25, 2020
The Annual Augusta County Spring Cleanup gives citizens an opportunity to dispose of waste that is typically not accepted or usually requires a disposal fee. The following items may be brought to the landfill and convenience centers as indicated. More details and information on volunteer opportunities may be obtained by calling our office. No business waste will be accepted.
Between 8:00 AM and 4:15 PM, Monday - Saturday, the Augusta Regional Landfill will collect the following:
- Automotive waste
Motor oil, transmission oil, hydraulic oil, diesel fuel, lead-acid batteries, and anti-freeze.
Gasoline or other hazardous materials will not be accepted.
- Free Tire Disposal - 6 car tire limit per household
A maximum of six (6) tires per household may be disposed of at no charge. Please note, however, that fees will not be waived for tractor-trailer tires. Tires on split rims or from businesses will also not be accepted. No waiver will be allowed for households that are not present at the time of disposal.
- Goodwill Industries
Goodwill will accept clothing, shoes, housewares, furniture, books, computers and small electronics. No TVs will be accepted.
- Appliances Disposal
Appliances may be disposed of at no charge at the following locations:
- Augusta Regional Landfill
- Crimora Convenience Center
- Augusta Springs Convenience Center
- Greenville Convenience Center
- Mt. Solon Convenience Center
- New Hope Convenience Center
Ruritan Cleanup Locations
Community Ruritan Clubs will be assisting with the clean-up. Please contact your area Ruritan Club for more information.
