Materials Accepted by the Augusta Regional Landfill

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Augusta County and the cities of Staunton and Waynesboro host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event every fall. Residents may bring gas, solvents, oil based paint, acids, pesticides and herbicides to the event for proper disposal or recycling. All Staunton, Waynesboro and County residents may participate in these events. 

The date for this event is usually published in early fall of every year and is posted on the website with the location and a list of items that will be accepted.  Check back at that time to learn more.
